About Me!

So who are you buying from? Here's a little bit about me and how I got onto this journey of crafting.

From a young age I’ve always been interested in crafts. I took Textiles as a GCSE and was eager to learn more about all crafts. In between my studies I would be busy knitting sweaters for my younger brothers or making alterations to my clothes. As I got older I decided to pursue a more conventional career path as an accountant and left my passion for crafts as a hobby.
During my career I continued to dabble in various crafts learning new skills such as paper craft and did all the wedding stationery for our wedding. It wasn’t until after the birth of my first son I knew I wanted to be a full time mum so my accountancy career was put on hold.
Anyone who knows me knows that I rarely sit still and am always looking for the next challenge.
I loved the idea of my son’s nursery to be decorated with beautiful, handmade items, I had already made curtains for his room and next on the list was a new lampshade. I searched for something different and unique but couldn’t find anything I liked. It was then when I came up with the idea of incorporating a drum lampshade with a mobile. I couldn’t find anything similar to what I had in mind so thought why not make one myself? There was a slight issue I didn’t know how to roll a lampshade, so decided to enrol on a lampshade making course early 2013 whilst pregnant. So here I am today, juggling my passion with my family life.
I hope you love my items as much as I enjoy making them, each one is made with love, time and care.
I also sell on Etsy and on Handmade on Amazon
